wannabe sweet?

Play Etude!
hi folks!

so this is my current obsession: makeups. or Korean makeups, specifically. or let's just say I'm a pathetic girl who crave every Etude House products...

wondering why? don't worry I've prepared some arguments! (k this started to sound like a debate or something lol)

* WHY I LOVE ETUDE HOUSE *
  1. the makeups are light and natural, perfect for young girls (like me! *winks*). they had changed my judgement towards makeup-- I used to hate makeup very much bc it's uncomfortable and heavy (like my face is being smothered with cement) and gives me that drama-queen look. now I can use makeup and still look like a normal 17 yo girl, just prettier.
  2. they also combined various skin treatment formulas (such as moisturizer, whitening, sunscreen and even anti-wrinkle etc.) in most of their products, which is a big plus side and makes it great for daily use.
  3. cute packaging! who can resist ice-cream-shaped nail polish or cookie-like pact? Etude House surely knows how to get girls' heart ;)
  4. the products are free from 'scandalous' chemicals such as paraben. I actually had discussed about this with a friend of mine who happens to be a doctor and he said that the usage of paraben is still a controversy but for now it's still considered as 'safe'. anyway, I simply believe that the less chemical it contains, the better, so I'll just happily go with it :)
tempted to purchase some already? but wait, I haven't done yet! like they said: nothing's perfect, there are some things that disappoint me as well...

* WHAT I DON'T REALLY LIKE *
  1. the price will literally make holes on your wallet *sobs* but I've got one simple tips for this: online shopping! purchasing online is waaay cheaper than shopping directly on Etude House outlets. people said it's bc there's no tax charged (well, idk if it's black market or not, but as long as it's cheaper why not? lol) and they don't need to rent a place since all they need is a website. but beware of fake products girls! make sure to buy on a trusted online shop.
  2. since Korean are famous for their bright, flawless skin, the makeups somehow don't really suit those with dark and blemished skin (which is totally me!) I found their BB creams come in a very limited shades to choose (only 4 shades at most) and the color tone of their lipstick, eye shadow, etc. are mainly only suits those with bright skin. plus, in order to suit the 'natural' look, those with blemishes have to conceal it first, which is a pain in the ass for me. well, it's all goes back on each person's personal taste tho. I'm just saying. and Etude House also got some concealer variants. I haven't tried them, but I'm looking forward to :)
I'm not a makeup expert or something alike, just a mere girl who started to fall in love with beauty products. and this post is only my humble opinions, I don't associate with any people/company, thus I never mean to promote/badmouth certain party.

enough for today, ciao!

a gift from a friend!

so I was having my lunch with the girls (my mom and 'lil sista) when the doorbell suddenly rang. since I hadn't finished what's on my plate so my sis went to get it. well, my mom curiously peeking from the window and said "It's a package," and I was like 'which package?' since we were expecting:
  1. the fabrics for Ied Mubarak's family uniform from Medan
  2. Etude Water Color Blusher from Rie Butikwell okay it's only ME who expect this
my sis then yelled "Kak, it's for you!" so all I could think about it my oh-so-lovely blusher but she wasn't finished yet, "...from Mas Abid!" and I swear I was so taken aback. He did ask my address a couple weeks ago to send me some stuffs from his 'Summer Holiday 2013' which include umrah and a visit to Singapore and Malaysia...

...and all I've done during holiday was rotting inside my roombeside watching Despicable Me 2 in the nearest cinema.

I envy you, Bid. I really do.

anyway, I told him he doesn't have to do such thing bc I don't wanna trouble him (you may think this is a mere courtesy but I was being honest, swear!). seems like I forgot how hard-willed he could be when he already set his mind into one particular thing, since Mr. Postman still appeared in front of my door, bringing this:

taken with webcam so sorry for the blurriness
the first thing my sis said about the package was "Look how cute the wrapping paper is!" -_- oh well.
it was wrapped with a lot, A LOT of tapes and plastic. I was so touched by the effort he made to ensure the package will arrive safe and sound (ok I exaggerate a bit, maybe it's just the mechanism for all packages). I know wrapping up things can be a pain in the ass most of the time... yet shredding it open is the most fun part. what an irony.

go on to what's inside! *drumrolls*

YIPPEE
oh and it comes with a letter as well!

I got the feeling he purposely wrote 'granny' in the first place
OMG HE USE THAT SHEERAN THINGIE AGAIN. PLUS 'THE DUKE' THIS TIME. DOESN'T HELP AT ALL.

just wait 'till I tell Jaz about this! you're so dead, dude. lol.

TA-DAH!
overall, I got a very nice pashmina and sajadah with matching colors! YEY for matching colors! which I definitely will use for salat Tarawih tonight :) there are also tasbih, riiight I need to praise His holy names more often, I guess... a cute I ♥ KL pen (who doesn't love teddy bears?) and a box of I-thought-it's-chocolate-at-first almond-filled dates! I'm in diet to reduce some weight and acnes so I can't eat chocolate, which make this absolutely GREAT!!

finally, of course I must say thanks to Abid for sending me these! I'm not a massive friend (nor granny, seriously) but you are. these are not 'ginian doang' and I can't thank you enough. so yeah thank you thank you thank you!!!

don't envy me for having such amazing friend, folks ;)

bye!

I Will Love You「1」

Kaoru walks through her school gate. Her new school. She tucked her hair behind her ear, the spring breeze messed up her hair a little bit.
Finally, after passing the final exam in autumn—and days of waiting during the winter holiday—Kaoru  has made it through Hoshio Gakuen. She could remember her friends’ responses on the graduation announcement day. Tears, hugs, felicitations even envious praises, of course. Hoshio Gakuen is one of the best high school in town, and it’s not an easy matter to get into it.
“Kaoru!”
Spontaneously she turned her head. Seeing who’s calling her, she smiled.
Ohayou, Yuzu-chan!”
That girl—Yuzu, is running towards her.
Ohayou!!” Yuzu then bumped into Kaoru, hug her tightly. They didn’t notice, or perhaps trying to ignore glances from people around.
“Gosh, we’re high schooler now!” she yells cheerfully “And it’s even better, Hoshio Gakuen! Shinjirarenai!”
Kaoru chuckled “Yeah. So should we get in? Being late for the ceremony wouldn't be nice.”
Yuzu nodded, as they walk down the school front yard along with other freshman. Cherry blossoms are fully bloomed, makes a nice and sweet feelings in the air. Suddenly the wind blows hard, so then Kaoru turned away.
Then something— no, someone— caught her sight. Her eyes widened.
A tall, slender guy, walks indifferently. His face—she can’t tell whether he’s handsome or not, but he has a strong expression. And his calm, deep grey orb... Somehow makes him looks gentle as well. With the wind blows his hair and cherry blossom petals fluttering around him, he looks so... Amazing. Stunning. Breathtaking...
“Kaoru?”
She snapped back to reality. Yuzu is looking at her curiously.
Daijoubu? Did something get into your eyes or what?”
Iie, she could hardly speak, almost like whispering “D-daijoubu.”
Yuzu winced, but then she decided not to bother her.
Sou ne. Now let’s hurry, looks like the ceremony will started soon!”
She rushes in panic, like whoever came late will be murdered. Before going after her, Kaoru peeks on her back to see that guy again.
Unfortunately, he’s already gone.
As she absent-mindedly walks towards the school, her mind is full of thoughts about that misterious guy.
Who is he? Will I be able to meet him again?
It’s a clear, bright day in the spring, on her first day in High School, Kaoru Nakata feels something she’d never knew before.

Ohayou : Good morning
Shinjirarenai : I can't believe it
Daijoubu/daijoubu? : Okay/are you okay?
Iie : No
Sou ne : I see

Gosh, this is my first short story in whole English! I read manga so much recently... That's why I used Japan as the theme, teehee. It's still a looong way to go, so if there are some misspelled words or unsuitable idiom please let me know, I would be glad :) This story will continue, I'm planning 2 or 3 more chapters but I'm not really sure... Let's just wait and see. Thanks for reading! xoxo
